Perhaps we should come to a consensus as to what 6139 is considered a true Pogue. A true Pogue is uncommon and one in good shape is even more so. Here’s his literal watch (photo from internet):

And the dial has "17 J." just under the center.

Hi, mine has a service dial.
Yours has a dial which looks like a lot to mine.
So, how would you check it is an original one?...

Yes totally missed that!! The 800 one has a replacement dial too

I contacted the seller of the last watch Because in the description there isn't mention about the functionality of the watch
"Seiko 6139-6002 "Pogue Pepsi". Very good condition. Year 1975. 41mm steel case, orange-yellow dial. Yellow rotating inner bezel. Two-tone blue and red PEPSI tachymeter outer bezel. Week and month calendar. Steel bracelet and precious blue NATO strap. It comes from a single owner. Very rare collector's item and given its highly coveted history"

Asking a photo of the movement and if the watch works correctly or not (chrono, inner bezzel, date, and reset)
His answer was "
Sorry but the watch status is this. If you want a new one, carry on searching."
It is a shame but this rise a red flag for me

So you are saying I am wrong trying to understand the status of a watch before buy it? For me would be ok if just if he replay " the watch works ok, obviously is an old watch and you never know what will happen tomorrow"

I think when you sell stuff with internet you should be more patient because everything is much more difficult, no face contact, you can't touch or sea the object, foreign language.

When I search for a watch I ask only few things.
Good photo of every part of the watch, dial bracelet and movement. If the watch is serviced or not and if there is a proof of it. And if the watch run in every complication. Is it to much I don't think.

I think if you manage your business in this way or you are a bad seller or you don't need to sell watch to live . And the seller I was talking about was a professional seller, in my opinion no so professional

No, don't put words in my mouth.

I have no idea exactly how you communicated with the seller. But his response made it pretty clear he wasn't interested in doing business with you. So I thought that thread might be of interest.

I am new in this field so I am learning and every comment is really appreciated. 😀
My communication was only one message asking what I wrote in the previous post. I didn't ask about discounts or other "strange" stuff.
I know we are many and we are all different 😉
