·Curious, @Dsloan , what are the issues with the 4R36 movement? Just based on what I've read, the overall specs on it seems like it's not the most accurate (I think +45 seconds/day rated officially?) but I've also seen multiple anecdotes/reviews saying that real world performance for random samples is much better.
On a tangential note, for less expensive movements like this, do people bother taking them in to get regulated outside of normal service intervals? If a watchmaker will take a little bit of money just to do a regulation even when the watch is pretty new, that might be worthwhile.
It's the inaccuracy and the low power reserve. But, don't get me wrong - I really enjoy these watches and understand that they perform fine for the price point.
I suppose I could always pick up a timegrapher and do some regulation at home instead of complaining 😁.
