Hi Forum members

I saw this 6139-6012 today and am considering buying it. However, the chronograph is not working and my concern is how easy it would be to repair and whether the cost would not make it worthwhile. The seller is looking for just under £200.

I have no idea about the bracelet other than it’s on a “Seiko” clasp. I had a look at the watch with my loupe and it does look to be n very good condition.

Any thoughts on the condition, repair and recommendations of who to send it to in the UK would be greatly appreciated.

And thanks as always OF for the space!

Hi Rich

@Sir Alan (Simon Wilkinson) is your man to fix a 6139 Both well and economically.

He’s London based too so should be straightforward for you.

Apologies, I can’t comment on this particular reference but that dial looks really nice.

All the best

Nathan

I’d certainly take a flyer on it for sub £200. Can’t comment on a watchmaker since I’m in but any competent watchmaker here is certainly capable of repairing it for around $200.

Thanks, I think you're right, good to have another opinion as I am no Seiko expert but I do love these.

Thanks for the helpful advice and I have now bought the watch. Taking a bit of a punt buying but will send to @Sir Alan and will let you know how I get on.
Cheers.
