For those unable to get the Omega Speedmaster "Silver Snoopy Award 50th Anniversary", this could be a very good consolation prize. I must admit, I'm very tempted as I love the design (especially the one with Snoopy as a helicopter). 36mm case size will fit my slim wrists perfectly. Just need to convince the wife to let me get yet another watch 😁
Being a limited edition, these could become collectables as well and I'm predicting that they'll sell out quickly. Possibly even appreciate on the secondary market. What does the forum think? Yay or nay?

OMG. I asked my wife and she actually said YES!!
She agreed that it could be my Fathers Day gift. I've placed the order via their website and the kids will present it to me later this year. So excited! 😀

They're pretty nice, although I wouldn't be so sure about them appreciating in value, modern limited Seikos rarely do.

Wishful thinking, I know. But I'll get one anyway because Snoopy is one of my favourite cartoon characters from my childhood. And being an aviation nut, Snoopy being a helicopter for Woodstock is just too cute and irresistible 😀

The "Chop Chop Chop" sound FX is a nice touch.

I think these are awesome. I'd go for the SRPK27 field watch style since I prefer flying to surfing, and I already have a dive watch. I kind of wish the Seiko 5 field watches had the crown at 4 o'clock like the other Seiko 5 sports watches did though.

I'm with you on flying over surfing. However, I'm glad that the crown is at the more conventional 3 o'clock position. Just my own personal preference. Not sure what advantage there is having it at 4 o'clock.

I believe one of the main reasons for the 4 o'clock crown is that for people wearing the watch low on their left wrist the crown doesn't hit your hand when you bend it back.

Pre-ordered the SRPK25 - looks like a great beach watch! Always loved Peanuts and seems a nice connection to the late-60's 5 Sports 70m 'divers' often used by surfers of the time...😎

Haha. Looks like you and I have the same plan for our watches. I'll be using the SRPK-27 as a weekend and holiday watch. I'm planning on getting a couple of different straps for it on quick release spring bars. A rubber strap for use in or around water, and a leather strap for when I need to dress it up a bit. Might also get an olive green canvas or nylon strap for that "field watch" vibe.

Good plan - I think I'm certainly going to have to pick up a rubber strap! Loving the smaller sizes too. I think they may become collectable as they have some neat touches that link them to Seiko, such as Snoopy surfing a wave on the caseback. Maybe the only problem is Seiko make so many LE Seiko 5, I think less could be more in that regard, but these seem very good ones.

Just got the surfboard this morning - pleased with it, wears slightly thick thanks to the nato (not as bad as I was expecting) and slightly small due to the bezel being a bit smaller than the case. More like a 36mm so genuine unisex size - I think this is going to be popular with the ladies and kids aswell!

Mine's finally arrived! Super quick delivery. Left Seiko's dispatch centre in Sydney yesterday and in my hands here in western Victoria this morning. First impressions are very positive. It's a beautifully finished watch and fits well on my 6in wrist. Leather strap is a bit stiff and not exactly high quality but I kinda expected that at this price point. Planning on getting a few more straps and look forward to seeing other owners with theirs. For now, it's back in its box until Father's Day, when the kids will present it to me.

I like these more than reasonably should. I didn't even read or watch Peanuts as a kid, but that darn dog is just so cute and disarming. Both designs seem like a great way to celebrate a leisurely day off or trip to the beach.

Go on. Do it! You know you want to... 😁
