·Arrived today and it doesn’t disappoint. I will rarely wear it, only for special occasions and posh do’s but since seeing this watch many years ago I always had it on the back of my mind for some strange reason.
When I saw it for sale by @dsio I just had to have it, even though I should be watching the pennies I knew it was now or never, so I skint myself for a few months 😁 and it was worth it.
So the watch arrived today and I absolutely love it, waiting for it was the original Ultima box bought from @Gwade on this forum and also a lovely NOS Omega vintage strap gifted by @Tom Dick.
So big thanks to Ash, Greg and Tom for making me very happy man indeed.

··Ash @ ΩFSomething else I’d mention, the shipping method international express courier was meant to be like 3-5 business days, I’ve never seen it take that long to the UK and was pretty worried when it was held up as long as it was.
The customs / shipping to the UK situation seems to be getting worse as I’ve shipped this watch, some 516 endlinks, and a book to the UK in the last 3 months and each time its taken longer even for high priority express mail. Hopefully it gets figured out soon as seeing watches sit around in the postal service for long periods of time makes me rather nervous.

I think it will all get back to normal in the next couple of months once we get back into the swing of things, with C19 and Brexit things did slow down on incoming mail a little.
Also outgoing mail was slow too, but lately Outgoing International packages seem to be getting there very quickly.

··Bill @ ΩFVery cool, I’m still so surprised that the box is green when I always assumed it would be red or brown from the black and white photos, enjoy it mate.
From casual observation... I have seen red Connie chronometre boxes, some in brown croc.... but the few Seamaster chronometre boxes from the 50s I have come across I think all were green !
