I ordered the watch direct from Omega online, due to lack of stock in the shops at the end of last year. Not sure if a few minutes try-out in the store would have helped though.
You got it from the OB, ask them to swap it and you will solve the issue!

It’s difficult to say.

Personally, I would contact Omega directly over this. At the end of the day, you’ve paid a lot of money for this watch! Perhaps they’ll consider exchanging your current Milanese strap for the shorter one?

My wrist is 7.25 inches as well and I wear the milanese on the fourth or middle of seven holes. I do wear bracelets a little on the loose side, which I think may help. If anyone finds the bracelet uncomfortable I'd definitely contact the OB/AD to see if it can be exchanged for the shorter bracelet. That there is a shorter bracelet, tends to suggest that there have been a number of people unhappy with the fit.

So I got the watch on the weekend and it’s stunning, it has an understated aesthetic to it, it’s subtle but beautiful at the same time, the overall finish is very elegant and it has a vintage styling with the patina and domed crystal (I don’t know how they did it but it looks like hesalite).
I’ve currently got it on the NATO and to be honest it’s almost like I’m wearing nothing on my wrist, I still don’t know how I feel about this as everything else I own has a fair amount of heft to it, making it almost feel “toy like”.
The mesh bracelet is just next level, I’ve never seen a bracelet so intricate and detailed, it’s simply stunning and like nothing else I own, to say it’s light is an understatement it just feels fantastic to hold and the thickness of it put my cheap mesh ones to shame.
The size and fit are great, I was really concerned at first but the watch on NATO fits really well, no lug overhang (my main concern with only a 17cm wrist) and I’ve sized the mesh and it looks like I might just get away with it on the second from last or last hole (great news!).
The only negative I have with the watch is the bezel, oh wow it’s horrible, it makes my ears bleed... was anyone else disappointed with the bezel and it’s action/sound? Maybe it just because I’m used to things made from SS which has a different audible sound by comparison to Titanium.
Overall, it’s a very impressive piece and it feels fantastic wearing it on my wrist, I never thought I’d own one but I’ve finally got an Omega in the collection.

I contacted Omega.

The good news is yes, the smaller bracelet is a specific part number and they will swap it out for me under warranty.

They will post a pre paid pack and I have to send the watch, along with copy of receipts and warranty card, and they will swap it out and return my watch. Should take about three weeks.

I really hope this is the fix I’ve been looking for. Plan B is to try the NATO, but this way I keep the look I wanted on the Milanese.

Fingers crossed you get the result you’re after

It’s important the Milanese bracelet fits and that you can enjoy the timepiece on it. I can only liken it to having a Rolex Submariner and the oyster bracelet not fitting properly otherwise.

Do upload some pictures of your wrist with both sized Milanese straps on. It may help people in future

Sure. Here you go...

My wrist is 7” and as the third hole is too snug for me, I wear the watch rather slack on the fourth hole. Not ideal, but the best compromise.
Odd thing is it makes the band spread out wide, but doesn’t relieve pressure in the underside of my wrist.

Even though I only wore the watch for five minutes for the photos, you can see the imprint of the clasp pressed into my wrist already!

Thanks for the photos!

Does the bracelet feel loose on your wrist?

I only ask as there’s a small gap in one of the pictures which I presume is the difference between the third hole and fourth. I tend to wear my Omega OEM strap quite tight, as you can see...

I purchased the NTTD from a boutique and have the same issue with the bracelet being too big for my 6.6in wrist. I had to use the 2nd to last hole in the bracelet that came with the watch. Do you have a sense or measurement of how much smaller the smaller version is?
I was unaware of the shorter version and will contact my boutique for sizes, cost, options for exchange (fingers crossed). Hopefully they can do an exchange but wondering if they can do it at no cost considering a very lightly worn exchange for a brand new bracelet.
Thanks.

I don’t know how much smaller the smaller bracelet is, but I’ve sent the whole thing back to Omega to switch it out. A bit of a leap of faith, but I’m reasonably confident it will be okay. I have had Apple Watches over the years and I could wear either the longer or shorter bands. It just means less of the band tucked under my wrist which is what I want on my Omega. I’m pleased that Omega are doing this under warranty, so I anticipate no cost to me. I’ll report back when I get the watch returned in a week or so.

Thanks. I reached out to the boutique this morning and asked about an exchange. No surprise, they won't exchange a lightly used (worn once for about 3 hours) for the shorter bracelet. They are calling me back with the mm length for the shorter bracelet. $1,400 usd. Thinking about selling my original bracelet but haven't made up my mind.

You know what I’ve never understood...in the novels and the films, his style is usually very subtle and classy. These aren’t the words I’d usually associate with Omega James Bond limited edition pieces.

My only real criticism of the NTTD Seamaster 300m is the NATO strap not being included with the Milanese bracelet. At nearly £8,000, I think the least Omega could have done was include it as part of the overall package.

Although my Grandad served in the British Royal Navy for 10 years, I think I’m the only person in the family who actually wears Omega. My Dad’s worn Heuer and TAG Heuer watches for the last 40 years, not sure why?!
Heuer have a pretty strong military connection.

That’s crazy!

It would make very little difference to Omega to take your bracelet back in exchange for the smaller version. It’s not as if Omega is going to throw it in the bin. It could be refinished and used again.

Absolutely crazy!!

Not with the British Royal Navy I’m afraid.

I have 7'' wrist as well, and I go through the same situation. I use it a little loose on the fourth hole most time because third hole is too tight.
But since they gonna charge a lot for this new shorter bracelet (and maybe it will fit the same, only decreasing the length for those with smaller wrists), I wonder if would be plausible, and more important, advisable, making a extra hole between the 3rd and 4th holes.

what do you guys think about it?

I personally wouldn't try adding another hole. You may be better off trying to sell the bracelet and then buying the shorter version or just buying a new strap.
