Thanks
Fingers crossed!
Did you receive the shorter bracelet yet? If so could you measure and/or provide part numbers?
I saw the thread about the shorter bracelets - https://omegaforums.net/threads/new-shorted-milanese-bracelet-for-nttd-now-available.126406/
I'm still trying to decide if I want to purchase the shorter version as I bought canvass strap from Jean Rousseau that I like.
Here is the response from Omega about the length of the shorter bracelet:
- "We at Omega wish to let you know the measurements of the short bracelet. It measure 4.5 in at 6 and 5 in at the 12."
When I measure my bracelet I get (Using part number from bracelet attachment at the lug)
- P/N - TIZ015660 3.8125 inches at six o'clock side
- P/N - TIZ015661 3.875 inches at twelve o'clock side (measured from attachment point inside the clasp)

I think Omega gave me the wrong lengths as the ones I have are shorter than what Omega says are the shorter lengths.
Thanks

I agree.
I had an issue similar to this but with a watch, every boutique has in house watch technician with polishing tools that could make any watch brand new, i know they did it in the past with one of my watches but when I bought a seamaster 300m and wore it for a weekend, i had buyers remorse on the color and wanted it exchange for another.

Everything was about to go through until the same tech looked inside the pin lugs spot and saw that they were scratches from naturally changing the bracelets, they were no visible scratches from the outside but only from where the pins grind the lug walls and they told me they couldn’t exchange it. I was livid because not only is it inside the watch they could legit just polish it and make it new but the acting “general” manager of the store was like oh we are sorry but we don’t have the machines at the OB anymore. I call BS on that one.

Yeah, I get the sense that if I make it an issue they will be more accommodating. I just sent an email to the boutique asking to double check the lengths of the shorter bracelet and provided them with the bracelet part numbers and lengths. Once I hear back I might escalate the situation.

I wouldn’t give up, I let my issue go and bought the other watch at a different store just to piss them off, then walked in like nothing happened and they were like oh you bought it in blue? Why didn’t you contact us? Lololol they were mad you could tell, but they are acting like the watch most be completely un worn, not used or looked it including every accessory you buy from them for an exchange since from what I heard Omega doesn’t do refunds.

Nothing yet. It’s still at the Omega service centre. They quoted up to three weeks turnaround, and as it’s being done at no cost to me I’m not pressing them.

I’ll post an update when it comes back.

I just saw the thread and the video from @keepingtimewithwhat (he got the shorter version), it does looks better for those who have
small wrist, but the holes seams to have the same length between each other. I guess it woundn't make a lot a difference at the end
for those who seek a perfect fit (I confess wearing bracelets with microadjustment clasps ruined me lol)

I don’t know how much smaller the smaller bracelet is, but I’ve sent the whole thing back to Omega to switch it out. A bit of a leap of faith, but I’m reasonably confident it will be okay. I have had Apple Watches over the years and I could wear either the longer or shorter bands. It just means less of the band tucked under my wrist which is what I want on my Omega. I’m pleased that Omega are doing this under warranty, so I anticipate no cost to me. I’ll report back when I get the watch returned in a week or so.
Okay, so I got my watch back today with the shorter bracelet.

And it has made no difference whatsoever!

Less excess at the side (obviously) as it is a couple of holes shorter than the standard, but it still presses against the underside of my wrist. Five or ten minutes of wear, and the buckle indentation is back on my skin. And red marks and soreness 🙁

I’m disappointed, but half expected this result. The issue is the design, I think. It just doesn’t accommodate a certain shape of wrist very well. I wonder if this will affect resale, now I have the ‘short’ version?

I’m tempted to go back to Omega and just get the original bracelet put back on. At least that way it is the ‘original’ spec.

Looks like I’m wearing the NATO then!

That is such a shame. I think you must be right about wrist shape rather than size as the cause......

Could you post some images of your 007 Edition with the shorter strap please?

Here you go...

You wear it so tight... can you go an extra hole?
I understand you like a perfect fit, but give it a try. You might like it.

Thanks for the pictures Kirk!

How big is your wrist by the way?

One would think that would fix it, but all that happens is a bigger gap at the sides. It’s a strange design. It doesn’t give more room underneath, just gaps either side of my wrist.

Thanks for the intel, now I won't buy the short strap. I don't know if any of you will agree with me, but I think this watch should come with a regular buckle strap instead of a deployant, this way it would have less material under the wrist, and would look more rugged (I think deployant is too classy for a "military" watch).
But at least they should produce it with holes between the regular ones, so it would be easier to find the perfect fit.

I personally find the deployant really handy. I do agree that having smaller spacing between holes would make a better fit possible. I prefer wearing my watches quite loose and I think this bracelet with a light titanium watch does lend itself to being worn looser than usual. This strap does seem to fit either really well and comfortably or not at all. As posted, it would seem to be more about wrist shape rather than size that determines how comfortable it is for each person. I count myself fortunate to own one and for it to be very comfortable to wear.

Correct. I ordered the short version in November and received it on the 2nd of January. Worth it.
I got it on the mesh but my wrist is at 6.25 very small so there is a gap. Can the smaller size mesh fix the issue?

Short bracelet likely won't fix the issue. Spacing between the holes is the same. As is the deployant. The deployant does not work well with people with small wrists or round wrists. Remember folks, Omega makes short length deployants in both steel and ceramic. There's a reason they do that. Let's hope they make a short deployant that is compatible with the NTTD Seamaster.

I’m one of the wearers affected by the uncomfortable Milanese bracelet. I’m wearing it at the moment, as I love my new watch, but the underside of my wrist is red and there is an indented print of the clasp where it has pressed into the skin ☹️. I’ll probably take it off shortly and switch to another watch, which is a shame.

Looking online at the Omega website, it doesn’t mention the different size bracelet. Also, there is no option to specify a different size bracelet when you buy the watch directly from Omega. I would have thought it would be shown somewhere.

I sent it in to Omega, and they changed it to the shorter bracelet but it made no difference. Surprisingly, it may have been slightly worse! So back it went to be changed back to the original size.

Today, I either wear it on the NATO or on the bracelet for short periods of time before my wrist gets too red and sore ☹️

Sometimes I stick a small clear plaster on my wrist for protection, prior to putting the watch on. Not ideal, but I can’t think of any other options.

Such a shame. Do you think 007 puts a plaster on his wrist, before he wears his watch and goes out on a mission?
