My only real criticism of the NTTD Seamaster 300m is the NATO strap not being included with the Milanese bracelet. At nearly £8,000, I think the least Omega could have done was include it as part of the overall package.
Agree 100%. I ended up buying the NATO in addition to the Milanese. It has a titanium buckle to match the watch.

I agree, some of them have been questionable choices, not as far as design goes (they are beautiful pieces) but they didn’t (to me) match the character they are worn by. I think both the Spectre and the NTTD are more in keeping with what I’d expect the character to actually wear so I hope they continue down this direction.

I’m very lucky on this occasion as the guy who I’m doing the trade with purchased the NATO from the AD to go with the watch so I’ll get both strap options. Although at this price I agree, it should have included both options in the box (I like the leather watch pouch but feel the Spectre had better presentation overall).

I have a love-hate relationship with TAG Heuer, I’ve owned and sold 3 from my collection, I like some of their designs but once in hand (and on wrist) they just don’t feel special so I end up selling them to go for something that will get more wrist time.

Omega really hit the ball out of the park with the Spectre 300 LE. It’s a perfect example of James Bond watch done right. So much thought went into it and ever since it’s release I’ve toyed with the idea of having it. The drawback for me personally is the 12 hour markers on the bezel. This is just a personal thing due to me using the 60 minute marker on dive watch bezels most days.

So the guy you’re doing the trade with has done all the hard work already. Wonder which strap you’ll use more...

The idea of ‘less is more’ with the NTTD packaging would work better if there was something inside it that was unique and perhaps collectible.

Although James Bond is my lifelong passion, I do love the ‘King of Cool’ Steve McQueen. Coveted the TAG Heuer Monaco and what an anti-climax it was when I finally got my hands on it.

You know what I’ve never understood...in the novels and the films, his style is usually very subtle and classy. These aren’t the words I’d usually associate with Omega James Bond limited edition pieces.

Although my Grandad served in the British Royal Navy for 10 years, I think I’m the only person in the family who actually wears Omega. My Dad’s worn Heuer and TAG Heuer watches for the last 40 years, not sure why?!

I've had mine with the mesh bracelet for three days, and absolutely love it, so many well thought though features and so light and comfortable to wear. Having had the original Speedy Tuesday with both a leather strap and nato I think for the price, both the bracelet and nato should have been included, as well as a springbar tool. That said I'm still so happy with it.

Although I’ve worn a Seamaster 300m for many years now, I’ve never really liked the bracelet. I foolishly hoped the NTTD 007 Edition watch would have a 3 link bracelet similar to the Spectre 300 LE.

After months of patiently waiting for the NTTD 007 watch unveil, I was disappointed to see a Milanese mesh bracelet. At this point, having held off on purchasing the Planet Ocean 39.5mm for 3 years, I went straight ahead and purchased the piece.

It wasn’t until I had the NTTD 007 Edition on my wrist in the Omega Boutique that I finally understood and appreciated the Milanese mesh bracelet for what it was.

I hope you continue to enjoy your watch for many years to come. Wear it in good health

Thank you. I agree the Milanese mesh bracelet has to be tried to really appreciate it. I've seen some comments about it being uncomfortable but I wear it quite lose as I do with other metal bracelets and it is super comfortable. The light weight of the watch head means that it doesn't move about much. So far since owning, it is averaging plus 0.1 second per day.

One of the few watches I regret moving on was the 43.5mm Planet Ocean and if I were to buy again I'd be tempted with the 39.5mm version.

Plus 0.1 seconds per day is fantastic as far as I’m concerned. I’m hoping Omega can up their game to the 70 hour power reserve, in-line with Rolex Submariners and Tudor Black Bays. Although I believe they were assisted by Breitling in that development.

If memory serves me correctly the 8800 (which is in the Planet Ocean 39.5mm) and the 8806 (which is in the NTTD 007 Edition) is around 55 hours. That can and should be improved upon.

Ah, I could start a new thread of the Planet Ocean 39.5mm and 43.5mm variants. I went back and fourth between the two sizes for 3 years and have the pictures to prove it.

My main criticism of the 39.5mm is it’s 45mm lug-to-lug sizing. It should have been 47mm in my opinion. The 43.5mm has a 48.8mm sizing so at the very least the 39.5mm should have been 46.5mm to make it more balanced.

I believe that most of the "uncomfortable" criticism was from people with smaller wrists. The milanese does double up under the buckle, and if the tail is too long I can see how that becomes uncomfortable. Apparently Omega is offering a shorter milanese but it is expensive.

if you are Getting the watch with the titanium bracelet, you can select the shorter version at no additional costs.

I’m one of the wearers affected by the uncomfortable Milanese bracelet. I’m wearing it at the moment, as I love my new watch, but the underside of my wrist is red and there is an indented print of the clasp where it has pressed into the skin ☹️. I’ll probably take it off shortly and switch to another watch, which is a shame.

Looking online at the Omega website, it doesn’t mention the different size bracelet. Also, there is no option to specify a different size bracelet when you buy the watch directly from Omega. I would have thought it would be shown somewhere.

Yes, a new thread discussing the PO 39.5 vs 43.5 could be good. It’s been done before, but a fresh discussion keeps the boards alive.

I love the PO. I had the older 42mm 8500 model. I prefer to have newer tech so when the 8800/8900 came out I wanted to change. I went for the 43.5 size in the end, but it was a very close call. I’m quite tall (6’2”) and they guy in the AD strongly recommended the larger size for me. Lately, I’ve lost a bit of weight and I’m starting to feel the watch looks a bit too big on my 7” wrist.

I’ll either sell my 43.5 and buy the 39.5 or maybe wait for the rumoured new model later this year. Hopefully it will be thinner. I know the PO is supposed to be a bit chunky but I feel the current iteration sits too high.

if you like the watch check with your OB.
Just write them or call them, they will tell you about the shorter version.
I have it on the regular Milanese, and it’s an amazing piece, if it fits properly.
Just get the right size of the bracelet 😉

My wrist is just under 7 inches (6.8”) and personally I find the NTTD 007 Edition a better overall fit in terms of lug-to-lug and watch height.

I do, however prefer the Planet Ocean 39.5mm’s black ceramic bezel compared to the NTTD 007 Edition aluminium bezel.

I get the whole ‘ageing of the watch’ spiel but the Planet Ocean 8500 had a matte finished bezel and I do think the brown tropical colour could have been achieved in a matte ceramic finish.

At the end of the day, the aesthetics of the NTTD 007 Edition is already aged through faux patina. The bezel picking up scratches over time will just make a this great looking watch appear scruffy.

Can I ask how is the NTTD Milanese bracelet fitting you? Does it make your wrist sore? The best compromise I can find is wearing it on the 4th hole, so slightly loose. After an hour or so the underside of my wrist gets red and there is an indented print of the clasp where it has pressed into the skin.

I like the watch, so may buy the NATO and wear it on that, when the OBs reopen.

I’ve only tried on the NTTD 007 Edition in the Omega Boutique in Birmingham. It was originally offered to me by my AD last year, but I declined it at the time. Purchased the Planet Ocean 39.5mm instead.

Fast-forward 12 months and I’m thinking of changing to the NTTD 007 Edition.

I have the steel bracelet, leather strap with deployment buckle and a couple of Omega NATO straps too. The leather strap with its rubber lining and deployment buckle does the same to me in all honesty. I imagine the Milanese bracelet would be even worse...

How big is your wrist by the way?

Where did you buy your NTTD 007 Edition watch from?
I ordered the watch direct from Omega online, due to lack of stock in the shops at the end of last year. Not sure if a few minutes try-out in the store would have helped though.

My wrist is 7.25", and I find the milanese strap very comfortable as well.
