Curious minds…

Would anyone happen to have a parts diagram for the current Seamaster 300? Or even better, photos of the individual parts that make up the dial?

wait a minute! I just saw this review from back in 2014. Is it true that the heritage model seamaster has a faux sandwich? 😲
The old model yes, the new model is upgraded to a sandwich dial.

Ahhh gotcha. I’d love to see what that luminous plate looks like, but can’t seem to find any images? Has anyone ever taken one apart and documented things?

I'm guessing they are an assembly. I don't know but I'm trying to imagine a benefit to them coming apart.

The older model has laser carved indents. It manages to have a completely different look compared to the 2nd gen. I don't really have a preference between the two though

I wouldn’t call it a faux sandwich. As pryde said, it’s laser cut markers then filled with luminova. Honestly, it’s probably more hard work.

I will say that the first generation dial manages to cast Shadows across the markers in a really interesting way that the second gen can't do. Hard to explain. It's a fun look in certain lights.
