Seamaster 300 big triangle with a numbered caseback

I have the possibility to buy this 166.024, I was not really interested until I saw the caseback. The number 76 is engraved on it, what could it be ? Any idea ?

Wait… sorry to sidetrack this thread @Pianist but I can’t let this stand uncommented here.

What do you mean by „full of service parts“? The only two visible things, that have been replaced during the service are the crystal an the crown. And I’ve been handed out the old parts. So, if the new owner wants to, he can replace the crown and the crystal back to the old one.

All other parts (hands, dial, bezel) are timely original and correct parts to the year (about) '68.

Please be careful with such ill-considered and wrong statements.
