Hi, I'm fairly new here; but I have written in this column before, and it was on the same topic? Have I done something very wrong? There was no contravention or offense intended.

You started asking about Tudor and Rolex and I don't understand why in an SM300 "fake" thread. I also didn't understand why it took four separate posts to ask the same question about four different watches. As I said before, the first two you linked to are not WatchCos.

Thank you for the advice; as I said, I'm really quite new here, but do feel free to castigate me even more if it makes you feel better.

Hey, you asked. I also think you know what you're doing. I'm new here, too.

Thanks for the continuum and the assumption, but you're incorrect in the latter, I am actually trying my best; what's the point of doing otherwise?
This is the very first forum I've ever joined; in terms of newness, it's showing that I have 11 posts, but shows that you have 130; comparatively, that in itself seems like a lot more experience, but I'm going to take a wild guess that you've been on these kinds of forums elsewhere, where is I haven't.

Is this too good to be true? I mean is this a genuine WatchCo (or =) so to speak?

Reasonable question IMO, given that the advert title has 'watch co' in it, and it's described as a parts watch.

I think this watch is completely fake, other than possibly the movement (which isn't shown). Other experts can speak to the various signs of a fake, but for me it's the brand new but supposedly tritium (T SWISS T) dial and matching hands. Seems to be fairly common in fake kits.

Hi, thank you. Unbelievable.. Seems like a market is flooded with these rip-offs.. I can't believe these unscrupulous individuals can get away with such flagrant activities without being caught; I mean sites like eBay and Etsy are not exactly newly established or niche little marketplaces.
Thanks once again!

The 2 Omegas and the Tudor are fakes - not sure on the Rolex as I haven't owned/ researched enough to comment.

"CRYSTAL.CROWN,DIAL AND HANDS ARE GENUINE REFURBISHED"
States that the case and bezel are "aftermarket".
What say you OF? I thought most of these kits were all fake parts. And most of these ad's all look the same.
I want one of these to put a cal. 550 in. But I also don't want to buy something that is total trash and or TOTALLY fake.

If you think about it Aftermarket just means not made by Omega, so aftermarket=fake.

It's careful wording to avoid the auction being pulled off ebay.

I bought one and a genuine case back, crystal, bezel assembly and dial wouldn't fit. IMO it's trash.

Agreed, but I was more curious about the rest of it. I'm very skeptical.

Ack you made me click on the link. The price seems way out of line, Especially when I have been scouring the bay for case parts.

I suggest you try a replica (fake/counterfeit) watch forum website.

this one really looks good to me, is there any way to tell this is actually an aftermarket insert?

well, the original inserts have never existed as separate pieces. It can only be aftermarket. The seller also admits that they are aftermarket.

Some aftermarket inserts are more or less obvious from the color, lume reactivity, and general quality. Hard to say exactly what the tell with these are after a quick look.

As stated above, those are reproductions. Lume color is faux patina, to match the vintage look, but luminova filled.
Suits the vintage SM better, than modern service bezel.
