Seamaster 145.016 dial question

Can anyone estimate the value of this Seamaster 145.006 dial by itself? It is in excellent condition AFA I can tell.

And in what Seamaster (or any other) references [apart from 145.006] can I transplant it? I could find this dial variation only on 145.006 ref.

It belongs in a 145.006, but just toying with the thought of pairing it with some other case/ hand combination as a neat franken. Thoughts OF?

The dial has feet intact under the 4 o'clock and 10 o'clock positions (approx.) and it is 30mm in diameter.

Hey, even though I find the idea of putting it together with a chronograph movement and case and just having fun with it super cool, I just wanted to point out to the fact that it might be a repainted dial.

Just looking at the Omega font. But everything else looks 100% original! Numerals, markings, and Seamaster font.

It might be completely irrelevant since you plan to just use it in a project (and again I find the idea cool) but I wanted to leave my opinion regarding the originality of the dial!

@kov your expert opinion? Per the 145.006/16 research thread the Omega font looks ok to me, but I've erred before. This is exactly why OF is so much fun learning.

I had a relook at the dial through a loupe and I don't think it is repainted because 1. Although the G of Omega is slightly different from the one posted in the research thread, it has a very slight scratch through the flat stroke of the G and 2. The serifs around every letter of Omega is incredibly crisp under loupe. Sorry I don't have the right equipment for macro shots ATM.

Welcome thoughts on the original poser though.

Hey, I take back what I said. On a second thought, it looks 100% original, including the Omega font. Didn't want to cause any confusion!

...and I too erred, it is actually a 145.016 and as per the research thread it's called a 'Silver radial dial with fat indexes'

It is the first time I see this variation of this dial with lume dots. 😲

Usually it looked like this :




In any case, this dial is a strange thing as even with no lume dots on it, it has T swiss made T 🤪

As per which watch would this fit, I would say this should fit any cal321 Seamaster/Speedmaster.

Hmm...but mine is entirely silver/SS polished hour markers and the sub-dials are different and like 145.006s...right?

...as long as it will fit a decent 145.006 cal 321 I will try and do it...getting matching set of hands will be a challenge though... unless another forum member wants it to complete a correct 145.016 or something...let's see.

Exactly my thoughts...never mind that it would say "Seamaster"...would love to find a straight lugs case-set and a symmetrical clutch-bridge 321 spare...

I thought the 145.016 used the 861 movement and not the 321.
