Hi All,
just noticed what I think is a scratch on my spacemaster z33. Don't remember it happening but it must be scratch although it looks weird. Any advice on self repair or is it a back to Omega job. Anyone have an idea on what the cost would be?

thanks

Josh

That’s either going to wipe off, or a new crystal.

If that is a scratch there is no way to repair that.

thanks all. I guess it is a trip back to the OB. really strange mark and I really have no recollection of hitting it anywhere.

Whatever it is, it is odd. Hope you'll give us an update when you find out what it is.

It looks like possible damage to the anti reflective coating on the crystal, almost like something dissolved it. Did you splash any strong solvent based cleaners or chemicals on it?

Not a scratch. It’s a stain on the crystal. I would try some lens cleaner and a microfibre cloth to remove it.

If it's a stain on the crystal, it looks like a job for the Magic sponge 😁

It is damage to the coating. No idea how. Omega have taken it back and will repair for free. Which is great.

Just coming back to close this off. Watch is back. It was a flaw in the coating. Repaired for free. Great service from Regent Street Omega in London.

Thanks for closing the loop on this. So often I find a thread like this where the OP never posted any resolution.

I’m happy they did it for free, don’t send it in to the swatch group they wanted to bill me 1000 usd for swapping everything and some water test fee. LOL
