I’m currently looking at a vintage Omega Seamaster 30 listed on Vinted and would love to get your expert opinions on it before making a decision.
Here are the details from the seller’s listing:
- Reference: 125.003-62 (circa 1961/1962)
- Movement: Manual wind Caliber 269 (seller states it was fully serviced in June and runs at ±10 s/d)
- Case: 35mm (excluding crown), 40-micron gold plated with stainless steel case back (hippocampus intact)
- Crown: Original signed crown, showing minor gold wear
- Crystal: Replaced with a new Verlux acrylic crystal
- Dial & Hands: Tropical/aged yellow patina. The seller mentions the hands have been relumed to match the dial tone.
- Strap: Comes on an aftermarket mesh bracelet.
Could you please share your thoughts on:
- Overall condition and originality: Does everything look correct/legit to your trained eyes (case polishing, dial, hands, movement)?
- Fair Market Value: What would be a reasonable price range for this specific piece given the condition and the relumed hands?
