Is this scratch on anti reflective or sapphire Seamaster Diver 300

Hi all, I have a seamaster diver 300m, relatively new. Last night while out with my girlfriend her ring lightly collided with the face of my watch. This morning I noticed this very faint scratch very hard to see had to be right lighting and right angle otherwise very hard to see. Should I consider removing AR coating with cape cod cloth / diamond paste or just let it be? Thanks. Attached is a photo at perfect conditions to see scratch and a photo of normal light and conditions I can very lightly feel it with my fingernail

Leave it. You’ll learn to live with it. I remember being bugged so much about noticing micro scratches on my black dial Seamaster’s crystal/ar coating. I read opinions on removing the coating with chemical. Thank God I didn’t act impulsively to remove the coating. AR coating on the inside is wonderful, but the addition of AR on the outside gives it the look that there isn’t even a crystal there. That for me is a great payoff to having scratches that you’d need to look for in different lighting just to notice

It's hard to initially let it go and seeing something you value become imperfect. Over time you realize that a watch is still a tool that's going to get scratched and even get a ding or two. All part of it's normal life and what makes it your own watch.

On the subject matter. Was it a diamond ring and it hit the diamond? Otherwise a light bump won't scratch the sapphire but certainly can the AR coating.

Was not a diamond ring! Was a cheaper sterling silver ring with cubic zirconia I had gotten her when we were younger

There you have it. A scratch on the AR coating you barely see, but with a story behind it 😉

PS: Zirconia is a 8.5 on the Mohs scale, while Sapphire (natural or artificial) is a 9. In theory it shouldn't scratch even if it hit the stone. In practice, I think it should scratch if it was hit hard enough.
