Shows how badly folks want a reasonably priced ceramic GMT Master II in Pepsi and SS. Price is absurd.

Doesn't look anything like the real thing.

Nor is it ceramic, though seller appears to claim otherwise - "Aftermarket Pepsi ceramic bezel".

look at the area under "6" who painted that! that is awful.. it hurts my eyes.. what a terrible aftermarket bezel... I think we can get aftermarket better than that.. or just shell out and get the real deal. get a black red.. but not THAT

It looks like it's eating the watch

no im sorry i dont like this you say reputable seller but there are some questionable tactics here at worst, at best poor terminology...

This is great Mens Rolex Gmt-Master II with an aftermarket pepsi bezel insert New Design. (NEW DESIGN? eating the watch?) The watch comes with a box set (it comes with a box no original ID Incomplete box set). This watch is in mint condition (your gonna say you polished it), the bracelet has 5 screws. The watch was recently serviced by us and polished (This watch is in mint condition?) to look like new. (look being the operative word not MINT just shinny) Rolex oyster steel bracelet, 95% (Mint = 100%... 95% = 5% less than Mint "near mint" OK not mint... Wouldnt polish a MINT watch)

this is mint..

How would you counterfeit the information engraved on the rehaut?

The watch is authentic, the insert is not..

Who said he is a reputable seller?! Reputable and fake do not go together..

I said established only because he has nearly 1,000 sales on Ebay..

I dunno, to continue with championing correct terminology and credit where credit is due i wouldnt say "fake" if he said original rolex bezel that would be fake, it is a fake "ceramic" bezel tho he openly admits aftermarket (then again you would be mental to attempt to pass that off)

we sell things as "Aftermarket" like "speedmaster with aftermarket Hirsch genuine alligator watch strap" people say "so its a fake strap?" well no... its just not the omega strap that came with the watch, It is even in the style of the omega alligator straps but not made by omega, Likewise if i put that watch with an omega rubber strap that too would be aftermarket, tho then buyers would say it was a fake strap...

I think the moral of this is its on the seller to educate buyers where necessary, but buyers should know what they are on about too....

I called a buyer the other day offering said speedmaster reduced,

he said he has a moon watch!

i say great! but how about this... this one is an automatic, its 39mm, so a comfortable wear blah blah etc etc...

he says hey MINE is all of those things...

Oh.. i say... so its not a moonwatch i tell him,

Oh.. he says...

You see this cross board and A LOT with omegas like black dial "1940s" 6b/159s, no such thing...

Yes, the fake term is overused as I just did but understood that it is not right. I understand the difference between fake and aftermarket..

A fake item would have a copyright infringement violation. Such as a fake watch with the rolex crown or Omega writing, etc.

Yadda yadda, a never ending issue with the technical use of the word.

I'm confused. Was the question of authenticity reference to the entire watch or only the bezel? I looked at the photo again and saw Rolex, Rolex circling the rehaut. If the bezel is third party or what, sending the watch to Rolex would clear the air. If third party, honest or crook, they would confiscate the watch and remove the offending part.

what? and yes rolex would remove the bezel and charge you for a new one but you'd pay like £1000 or more
