I guess the decision is already made as this watch is currently listed on the Bay?

I think the scratches in a vintage watch tell its story, but to me there is a limit. Many years ago I was looking for SM300 like this but almost all watches available had broken bezel and sourcing a OEM bezel was close to impossible, and I 'm talking about 15 years ago, so I guess now is going to be even harder. I write this long story because I think a broken bezel insert is an exception to my own rule of keeping a vintage watch as is.

Bottom line, I would replace the bezel, keep the original in a safe place, and wear it as much as I can.

A modern/colourful, sticker bombish bezel could look great on these as well

Could be a statement rather than a restoration

I would love to restore mine, but have had no luck in contacting Aldo or Rene. Any advice here?

@jaegodylan You're too kind! 😊

Here are some of my latest rebuilds: (crappy phone photos - but you get a general idea)

beautiful! do you do other eras of SM300? 165.024 etc?
