A “Runcible” word is a nonsense word. For A different challenge. This is an 8 letter word. I have chosen a different letter to represent each letter in this word, to result in a nonsense word. This “Runcible” may or may NOT contain ANY of the letters in the word which is the answer I seek. Take a crack at it. I am looking for a single word as an answer. There is a clue in the title. The word. (Finding the answer is not as tough as it might appear to be! 😀 )

S _ V _ O _ D _ J _ C _ M _ F

See what you can come up with.

@noelekal aced it! RUNCIBLE is indeed the nonsense word I had in mind. From the Owl and the Pussycat by Lear.

Oops, hoping my comment wasn't taken the wrong way! First 8-letter "response" that came to mind. Good game, love me a good code! I actually was familiar with the word runcible from the Edward Lear work, but also Neal Asher's novels (well worth a read if you're into big SF).

Well, there will be others to solve. These could be made up to be a whole lot more difficult!

Know about the WWII Enigma machine for deciphering German coded messages? Where is the nearest Enigma machine?

An appropriate portmanteau…

H-O-S-F-Q-O-D-U

INTERNET?

TRANSLATION:
I under H
N over O
T under S
E over F
R under Q
N over O
E under D
T over U

(If I can do it, you can do it!)
