I actually had both at on point lol

Both had a nice feel to it. I liked the top a little more but the bottom uses the deployment. I liked the look more of the top one plus bond wore it on the 2500 hehe

Now if you do like the look then I think a rubber b or Everest is the way to go. Some say they are expensive for not being oem but from what I heard the quality is right near the oem oysterflex and FYI that thing goes for close to 600 so 200 is a steal.

YES!!!! You're the one that got me researching this. I think you posted it on IG a few days ago. How well does it fit and what model of Rubber B did you get? If it fits the Tintin it will also fit a first gen PO. I know this because I've got a black rally strap made for the PO that fits perfect on my modern Speedys.

Thanks for the feedback! I must say the all black one that Bond wore is starting to appeal to me a bit.

    Correct, that was me.
The front side fits 95% I'd say. The back side a little less because the case shape of the Speedy is different from the Rolex. I originally bought this red RubberB strap to fit my platinum Yachtmaster that had a red second hand.

Here's a picture of the Speedy back side so you get a better feeling of how it looks. IMG_2028 (1).jpg

That looks like a pretty snug fit. Thanks for the additional info and the pics. So, if I wanted to go this route I'd look to get one for the Yachtmaster or any other 40mm Rolex?

Great shots! Rubber B are not one size fits all because each strap differs / model has a specific model #.

Which Model# Rubber B are these straps?

I’ve just ordered a Strapsco version so I’m going to see how that feels and feedback here

Super cool - thanks for the pictures. I always liked rubber straps and was thinking about doing this, but this just confirms it.

Just recieved Rubber B strap for my seamaster smp quartz. How were you able to make it fit? It's 20mm by 18 tang buckle.

    I have a Rubber B for my 16570 I like it but I just don't love it.
Doesn't fit the curve of my wrist all that well and seems to stick to my skin sometimes.
I have the one I used a Rolex buckle on, not the tang buckle.
Still I have several friends that love them! They look good as well.

I used some skinny spring bars but since have used the Omega 1.8mm x 20mm spring bars also. The Omega spring bars are tight but with a bit of perseverance they 'll go on well.

I actually have since returned that strap. I have someone sending me curved spring bars and I'm going to try and fit the newest seamaster 300 rubber strap on instead. That's the one I really preferred. I also have a Zealande rubber strap with a Hadley-Roma black deployment clasp. Strap was quality the clasp was so uncomfortable I couldn't wear it for more than 5 minutes unfortunately.

Do you know if the Rolex submariner Rubber-b's will fit the Speedy? Also one request - could you post a side profile of the front - just want to see how well it fits on the lugs?

If that question is addressed to me, well I no longer possess that Speedy….

Curious to bump this thread in case there's anyone who can help confirm..

I can confirm that the RubberB tang strap for the 16570 / 40mm Explorer II fits the 2254, 2538, 2220.80 series of the SMP perfectly. No wiggle or gaps at all.

However, I have a PO2500 (POLMLE) that I tried fitting it to, and it fits... but only about 95%. Spring bars click in without any coaxing actually, but the fit against the case leaves about 0.5mm gap - so the strap can wiggle a tiny bit.

So I was wondering if anyone has successfully tried installing the RubberB tang strap for Yachtmaster 40mm on a PO2500? Based on the first set of photos on the TinTin, I can see a tiny gap from the top side.

Alternatively, would the RubberB for the 40mm Sea-Dweller be more likely to fit since it has what I imagine is the same profile case but slightly thicker? I don't have much experience with Rolex so it's a bit of a guessing game here... Thanks!

The Everest will fit the 2500 but when strapped to your wrist it pulls away from the case creating a gap. No really a good look imo.
