    hello

i have seen straps from rubber B and everest mounted on omega watches , more specifically , the omega seamaster 2254.50 .
RubberB has a nice velcro rubber strap and i was wondering if it would match my 2254.50's lugs ?

As a matter of fact these straps fit perfectly on the 2254.50. Its like they are made for, curved neatly around the case and flush with the lugs. I had this combination on mine and you do need skinny spring bars as the holes don't quite line up. It is the same strap made for and used on my Explorer II 40mm or Sub 14060 no date. I have now a RubberB black rubber with tang (same case fit) on my 2254.50 but took the tang buckle of and fitted a 18mm black PVD coated Hedley Roma butterfly clasp. It all works and fit very well.
I was so impressed with the combo I fitted the RubberB black rubber with red VulChromatic on my SMP 300 quartz. The red on the strap complements the red on the second hand and red Seamaster logo on the dial very nicely. Also fitted the black Hedley Roma butterfly clasp on this one.
Sorry, no pics at the ready for now.
The Velcro strap I took of is now for sale here on the forum, size M fits a wrist up to 183mm.

I’ll see if I have any pics of my blue Everest Rolex strap on my Speedmaster X-33 Solar Impulse.

Is there a cost-of-production rationale to explain why these straps (and Everest) are so obscenely expensive?

I’m not trolling here... I’m generally curious if there is something about them that is so difficult to manufacture that cases the prices to be so high.

Same can be said for most straps IMO. And most watches for that matter.

But I'll say that the quality and comfort of both Everest and RubberB is excellent. Durable and look great.

They can have my $200 :)

Omega straps are the same price if not more. The quality and feel of the RubberB is just as soft and comfortable as the Omega rubber strap with tang buckle.
Anyway here are some pics of a RubberB on a SMP 300. Sorry about the crappy photography. DSC00006.JPG DSC00008.JPG DSC00040.JPG DSC00001.JPG .
The PO is on genuine Omega deployant.

I've owned both the RubberB straps and the Everest straps, and I feel like the Everest straps conform to my wide flat wrist better then the rubberb, which tend to squeeze the side of my wrists and prop the watch up above my wrist. I sold my RubberB with blue stripe and I'm happy with my blue and my black Everest straps - very good quality and feel.

I like that I can use them on my Rolex GMT II BLNR and also on my Omega Speedmaster X-33 Solar Impulse. I need to try it out on others as well, and maybe I can use the black one on my SMPc, or Planet Ocean 2500 or Speedy Pro if they fit.

I know this is an old thread but did you ever check to see if they fit with your 2500 PO and Speedy Pro? I may be pulling the trigger on one if they do. And I'd be curious what model you went with.

I agree. It’s one of those things you have to experience first to fully understand IMO. They are well made, you get some cool extras (spring bars, suede traveling case, etc) and nice packaging/presentation for what it’s worth.

So I had an oem oysterflex and heard the Everest was extremely close.

Back in the day I had a 2500 PO with the rubber strap so wondering why spend so much on an Everest or Rubber B when you can get an oem omega rubber for same price or even cheaper?

Which OEM Omega rubber strap did you have? I know of two made to fit the 2500 PO and I'm not sure I like either one but I'm open to your thoughts on them.

    There is this one:

    And this one:

I don't really think I like the look of either of them.

Any ideas as to what strap(s) would fit a PO GMT 43.5?
