Would love to test drive the versatility of the Paul Newman Daytona
I hope you realize that picture is not the Paul Newman Daytona

And I hope everyone realizes the three watches above on this page - though they might be rugged - are sport watches? Not suit-material.

Paul Newman Pro Hunter MK1. Apparently in demand a shade under $30K. Not advocating it. Was more tongue in cheek to the thread. British wit apologies.

Just in case anyone wants to place an order.
Shall declare now that this is not a sale and I am not affiliated in any way to the site.

I guess you are misunderstanding what Nobel Prize and I are saying?

It says on their web site:
"Inspired by the "Paul Newman" Daytona, the dial has been enhanced ...blablabla...etc."

This is a Paul Newman Daytona:

The above ones probably being his own but some Daytonas looking somewhat like that are now called a "Paul Newman Daytona". An old reference Rolex Daytona.

I wonder what the "inspired by" part is? The price maybe... It does not look anything like the old ones.

Yep. True. Fair point. It's not the 'Paul Newman Daytona' as we know it.

Updating this old thread with some better pictures. (The challenge is still on)

Stunning piece. Love the color scheme and outer chapter ring on the dial. Very, very nice.

So yeah - you actually diver with that watch? :O

Not really as I wear it on a alligator strap. But as I wrote - tested for 100m regularly - so it is prepared. I am not. Not been deeper than 10 meters for many years. Fond memorys of a buzz at 45 . Deep-drunk as a skunk but at least I knew what direction was up.

Longines Legend Diver. Recently tried one on in at a local dealer and it really sang to me. Vintage or reissue, both look great, can dress up or down and work on land and in water. Date or no date versions available (though the no-date reissue is hard to find I believe) 馃憤

Defenitely a contender. Even if it is somewhat large I agree. Contender.
