That is cheating. It is essentially the same watch - sans date.
So you never have to unscrew the crown .... 馃檮 this is one level higher than the DJ!

I am thinking of putting a jubilee on this. What do you guys think?
Definitely, you won't regret it, plus you can always take it off and swap it around

I don't consider this as bling!

Bling? When I want bling, I wear this!

Imitation is the highest form of flattery! And anybody else's opinions of Rolex watches are of NO concern of mine!

I would say flat ostrich leg skin strap. Most elegant, like so (not my watch, taken from the web):

For the few amongst us who didn't know what a "CHAV" is, check this out! So, Rolex wearers are "chavs"! This used to be a friendly message board, until name-calling became the way to go!

"This is a challenge to the forum 馃嵖"
I will let you have some more time but as for now it looks like "a walk in the park victory". I guess most vintage competitors fall on the swimming/diving part.
No one here with a sixties "dress" Universal Geneve Polerouter or Eterna Kontiki with a screw in crown?
Regards
JE
You seriously think a Kontiki or a UG could rival in the water departement?

On another note, I had always assumed that, like Gremlins, we should keep vintage watches away from water? I am flabbergasted to learn that a vintage 1960s Rolex could be used for diving. Is it because Rolex maintains production of all watch parts issued and that access to seals and such are still available or is it just better craftmanship?

I live in Darwin so I can do everything even a suit with this.

Even a royal visit with a matching suit.

Could even make my own leather strap for it

The IWC call 89 s are very much in line with this one. Although I don't know about diving. Then again not sure these ones would be good divers either. What depth rating do they have? 1, 3 or 5 atmospheres? If so definately I would not dive with them. If it's 10 atm then yes.

First thing that came to mind with this reply. I have a vivid imagination but a mixture of both and great taste in watches is how I imagine you. No offence meant. In my book, that's pretty damn cool.

I agree, the grey dial DJ is one of the most versatile watch out there....

I find that the vintage speedy isn't versatile at all actually...its not dressy enough for suits, not 'badass' enough for going out partying...the only time i wear a speedy is when im reading in a coffeeshop on lazy afternoon...

but @styggpyggeno1 , sorry I think the sub is the most versatile one (although i think DJ is very very versatile) 馃槈 I know its a boring answer but its for a reason...

Was on a work trip in Panama and got called crocodile Dundee the whole trip. Dubbed the host iguana Dundee when I left....

This great allrounder has very recently had a complete overhaul, I would offer this as a serious contender for your challenge!

* No or maybe - but look at **

** Access to parts is a big advantage for the DJ compared to many other vintage watches. The Plain DJane is pressure tested for 100m regularly. Passes with flying colours.

I like vintage subs but I would never wear one to a suit (unless a wet suit). DJ vs Sub 1-0 (my rules...).
