My friend walked in to Rolex in LA and walked out with a yellow dial OP. Looks great and he says he loves it so far.

Also, Eric Ku posted a picture of a yellow OP next to a yellow Stella and they look remarkably similar.

Some wristshots for you guys:

I havinto give it to them, the new proportions just work. It’s an over all more balanced design in my opinion. This for me feels like the „facelift“ of the DJ from DJ II to DJ41. I got heavy pre ceramic vibes from the watches when worn on the wrist and examined in hand. Side profile seems to be slimmer (case back feels more pronounced though).
Also the integration of the bezel feels more fitting now. I always had the impression that with the Maxi cases the bezel looked more put on rather than integrated to the design/watch.

I wasn’t very fond of the kermit when I saw it in pictures but it‘s quite the stunner in real life.

Cheers,

Max
I agree. Size aside, the proportions are much better than the "maxi" case proportions.

I agree to the proportions. It’s the solid end link that protrudes from the case that makes these wear big. Adds 2-3mm on the L2L measurement. Makes them wear too wide for me and leads to that look where you can see the end of the bracelet link pointing downwards.

I have a similar problem with the DJ41 on oyster, which is why I could only have one on jubilee where it pivots.

7 and a quarter but it’s not flat so the top piece is not hugely wide.

from a normal perspective watches look fine, but looking down your wrist they overhang esp the end links.

It’s the old thing about wrist size being irrelevant but the shape being more important.

flat wrists generally get away with bigger watches.

Got it, My worst is not much bigger than yours and the DJ fit me like a glove. Are you judging any pictures or just your direct perspective? Pictures sometimes distort the proportions unless you make the shot from some distance or on a reflection.

When I look straight down the arm. You can see it’s ever so slightly too wide as my wrist is more round than flat. With a jubilee it’s fine. With the oyster and the SEL’s it’s less so.

On the upside, it’s saved me some Money!

I have a similar issue with the standard speedy bracelet. It’s one reason why I love the Apollo 11 so much in that it has pivoted end links.

In all honest, it probably looks fine and I have worn those watches - just more a personal preference I guess

I wouldn’t give a penny over $80K for any maxi case

7 1/2 approximately, about average I’d say. But watches often look bigger when photographed. IRL the new models looked more balanced. I wear a 42 mm 2500 PO as my daily atm and in some pictures it also looks quite big on my wrist.

28 ... 31 ... 34 ... 36 ... X ... 41

What is this conspiracy against sensibility.
I think they'll fill the gap by introducing 38 mm next year.

One can never know but I doubt it. 41 is just the way it is branded, the watches have an actual diameter between 39mm and 40mm.

This is not supposed to be "ilegal"?

I am convinced that this line is definitely an improvement but the turquoise blue, silver or black dials are the way to go.
Looks like the Rolex stainless insanity is starting up again. Here's a turquoise 41 on eBay, MSRP $5,900. On another thread people thought I was overstating things when I talked about "greedy dealers." Really?
