Once again, trying to understand...🙄

I have done some studying on this ref 1018,
and here is one with a serial nr 1270xxx, so it should land as a 1966.
And I only wonder - should there not be lume at the end of the markers?

I have looked around, but the ones out there do have this, does this mean that they have vanished during a service??
And I have not found any articles that state "non-lume"?

Or is this a military/undercover/SAS/Special dark edition (just kidding..!!)?? ::facepalm1::

Our fellow member John Ireland collects that reference number. Hopefully he will know.

I believe that there typically is lume present. I owned and sold this dial:

Looking at plenty of pics, they do have lume at the end of the markers!

In this case, I think that this dial originally had lume dots that have been removed. You would probably see some residue under UV excitation.

I have never seen a non-lume dial 1018. If it was indeed, a non-lume dial, it would have non-lume hands, and I’ve never seen those either.

Drove down to the auction house to have a closer look,
and the watch was kind of nice, but with no lume,
Its a no watch!

So thanks everybody for your help!

To re-apply vintage Lume here is maybe the easiest task possible....

Yep I wouldn't pass on the watch over this. Price would be my deciding factor.

Skipped this one, it ended at 2400 €/2600USD...
Maybe not the smartest thing, since I liked the watch??

But there are no good re-lumers here in Sweden, so it had to be abroad..🤔

Ugly hands, that's no bargain and these aren't hard to find.
