I have a lost and found story from a vacation trip in Florida. While in Ft Lauderdale, we were driving to a mall. My wife was handling the navigation through an app in my iphone. When at the mall, she got out of the car and in to the mall, and I was going to park the car, and wait for her there. Half an hour later she came running out of the mall, speaking on the phone, her phone. Quite upset. Saying that a stranger had called her from my phone. I understood nothing about what she was babbling about. Someone calling her from my phone?? When I spoke to the person in the other end, I suddenly realised what it was about; my wife, when getting out of the car, had dropped my phone on the parking lot. The man in the other end had found it. Thanks to that the navigator app was running, he was able to get into the phone, looked up the last called number (which happened to be to my wife) and had called it.

I went into the mall, met up with the guy, and was able to retrieve my phone. And not only the phone. In it I had my drivers licence, a credit card and 200$ in cash. I couldn't believe my luck (to get my stuff back) The more I think about it the more I can't understand how it actually happened. This was just in the beginning of the vacation too. The finder of my phone refused any finders fee. A few days later, in order to maintain the good Karma, I gave away 50$ to a guy in the street (looking less fortunate in life).

So @gatorcpa, there are certainly fellow Floridians to be really proud of! 馃榾

Unclaimed for 100 days, so now the girlfriend has a new watch.

The seal looks like it needs replacing and the movement looks like it could do with a clean.
However, she is pretty happy.

Yes, definitely needs a service - rotor bushing is worn certainly and that usually means more parts are as well. Cheers, Al

All kidding aside, it's a nice gesture to try to find the owner.

I was in Australia years ago and they were the nicest people I think I've ever met.

As long as you're not a hitchhiker in the outback 馃槻馃槻
