My thoughts on the Snoopy edition. First, an editors note: I own the 2003 and the 2015 Snoopy editions (I picked my 2015 up today after waiting 3 months). The 2003 Snoopy retailed for something like 3-4k. A complete set (watch, box, books, cards, etc.) will run you north of 6k now whereas the watch by itself can be had somewhere between 5 to 7,500 (depending on condition). It seems like there are allot of these being sold in Japan which is ultimately where I got my 2003 (via eBay and then had boutique authenticate it). The 2003 edition had 5,441 watches. The interesting thing about the 2015 is that it is a much smaller edition size which will make the watch scarce. The boutiques all have waiting lists and second hand dealers are largely getting left out. I had wanted to get the watch from a wholesaler but he ultimately told me that the demand was so high that all of the watches were going to the boutiques. The other thing to think about is that its Snoopy so you have Peanuts fanatics who will want this as well. That and the movie coming out this Xmas make it likely that it will appreciate well. I suspect you will see a handful of these out there in the 8-10k range after the stores sell out (the boutiques are only selling to people who put deposits down). My 2 cents anyways. I didn't buy it to flip. Just love the watch although it is pricey for a Speedy-I confess.
