·My 1601 is in for service. They recommend replacing the crown and tube. But the crown seems to work okay. I like to keep things as original as possible and this is new territory for me. Is this a common / recommended repair?
The crystal also has a few small chips in it around the outer edge. The time is still visible, but I thought about asking to have this replaced. Is that common?
