Repair estimate for reluming?

Greetings all. I’m looking at possibly acquiring this Seamaster reference 14390 with a very nice dial, but It has one issue that I need some help with. As you can see from the attached photo, the upper minute hand is missing some lume. If I’ve done my research correctly, I think that the lume on this 1959 watch may be radium. For those of you with experience, what is involved in reluming the minute hand, what issues can I expect, how much will the repair cost, and is it worth doing? Thanks!!!

Cost is around 20-30 USD. The process will involve the watchmaker removing as much of the lume they can from the hands, and replacing it with a modern lume, or any other usable paint they might stock. There are no likely risks associated with this work, but you might find that the value of the watch may take a bit of a hit, if and when you choose to sell it. This is because from a collector's standpoint, the hands should be left as they are. From an aesthetic standpoint the hands will look complete, but a modern lume on the hands will look out of place, when compared to the old lume on the indices.

The missing lume would bother me too, and since it’s already half gone-
I see no harm in having it done to match the other hand (an experienced watchmaker can match the color). I think @speedb is thinking about the cost if the watch was already apart and in the hands of a watchmaker who is doing the service- sure, and additional $40 sounds about right. But if you are giving this to a watchmaker you don’t have a relationship with already, they will want to do a service and pressure test after taking it apart, and reluming the hand would be in addition to the service (and obviously if you are buying this from someone who can’t provide service history, you will want to factor that cost into the purchase price).
