Reluctant sale speedy triple date

Ok after last weeks major watch spending session I have promised the wife I will part with this watch. At the time I did intended to sell it but the cold harsh reality is I really don't want to part with it. This advert is only here to appease the wife so please expect me not to sell it. It's an omega speedmaster triple date circa 2002 and it comes as a full set. It's pictured with a leather strap but it comes with the original steel bracelet. I'm not going to put it back on the bracelet for the new owner because I don't want to sell it and I prefer the strap. It comes with all the inner and outer boxes/ hang tags etc. I have owned this watch from new and not bothered about parting with it. It's quite clean for its age but I haven't wiped it or tarted it up in any way to make sure its less desirable.
I've been threatening to sell this watch from the day I bought it but couldn't bring myself to actually pull the trigger.
The good points...... it looks great on leather!
The bad points ......it's due a service but still keeps good time and the sub seconds had is off coloured. These aren't as desireable as the moonwatch and people find the dial on the triple date is a bit cluttered. The case size is small in comparison to today's current crop of watches.
I will set the the price at a healthy £1000 so hopefully this will put off any potential buyers out there. I'm not bothered for any bloody foreigners out there and will probably insist on collection only if someone is stupid enough to actually want this watch.
Here's some crappy iPhone pics of the watch. bc8bcfcf2dc0c43c9d5733c3b493b8ea.jpg 2a28305fefa7f72ee67915bc6c25fb2c.jpg 3e24a341f8e7075b2ad95a75249704f4.jpg be68e28f75f8a8477dbd1a32bcfadfc9.jpg 1528c240c4bdedac3ed1da241ad27149.jpg 21f47bc5b61eb613488694d88c6df7d8.jpg
Thank you all for looking and hopefully not buying, remember I am obligated to advertise this watch for sale by my wife, genuine buyers can jog on. my wife will only glance at the advert and not read the content so with your help I can dodge a bullet here.

Due to your injury (which i think is worse than you are letting on about) and in the true spirit of the forum i offer you in trade this remarkable true vintage time piece from my collection in exchange.

And i will even throw in one of these jelly moulds in the colour of your choice for your other trouble

Cheers

I do have a 2054 I was interested in trading for until I read that last post. I think your watch is scared for life and some how the next owner may never hear the end of it.

Can you imagine the comments the next owner gets each time he posts on WRUW?

Ok, listen. Throw a moonphase on that dial at 3 and I'll take it.

That's awesome that you quoted JImInOz's whole post in yours. The scroll button on my mouse fell off, along with my index finger. Do it again.
LOL, Yeah, I didn't expect that would happen... really want to see it again?

I can leave a piece of my bodily fluid at the 3 position and it will be like the surface of the moon if it's any good to you. Due to my current affliction I would only be interested in chronos that record up to an hour, after that and things only point South.

I've decided to withdraw this watch due to the lack of posts and responses on this thread despite my best efforts. You guys wouldn't know a good watch if it hit you in the face. I told my wife this forum is full of time wasters and tyre kickers and this thread proves I'm 1000% correct.

Seems like necrothread night, so bumping this one.

Noobs, this is how you write a sales post!

Was it husband or wife who was the prescient one back in 2015? I don't track sale prices of these things.
