(REDUCED) Longines Flagship 30L Chronometer

Hello OF family,

Up for sale today is my Longines Flagship with a 30L chronometer movement.



The 30L is considered one of Longines’ best hand wind calibers of the ‘50s-60s and was involved in intense competition with the Zenith 135, Movado 126, and Omega 30T2 derivitives at the mid to late 50’s observatory trials. Chronometer certified versions of this movement are uncommon and quite difficult to track down.

This particular watch was presented to Geoffrey Turberville in 1959 on his retirement as the longest serving headmaster of Eltham College. According to Longines’ archives, the watch was invoiced to the UK on the February 27th, 1959.



It is 36mm, stainless case, and is in really excellent condition. I had the movement serviced just prior to the COVID lockdown and it is functioning as it should.
