Hello OF family, The deaccession continues with this Longines 12.68z Salmon Suiza dial. Recently serviced by Kelly Hunter (art_of_the_watch on IG), this watch is, according to Longines’ archives, a ref 5030 originally invoiced to Uruguay on July 17th, 1947. This is the mid-sized Longines from this era, in a ~35mm stainless case. Because of the large dial surface and tiny bezel, the watch wears significantly larger than its dimensions. It houses a 12.68z; a venerable manual wind caliber used by Longines from the ‘30s through the 50’s. The real star of this show, however, is the salmon colored, Suiza signed dial. Salmon dialed watches from Longines are quite uncommon and highly sought after. This one is even more unusual in that it also has the Suiza signature, which was featured on watches exported to some South American nations (Argentina, Uruguay) around the mid century. Aside from a small dial ding, this watch is absolutely fantastic condition. The case is razor sharp and retains the original brushing. I am asking $3000 obro shipped within the CONUS. Will accept payment by PayPal (+3%) with references, Venmo or Bank Wire. The watch is located in Portland, OR and I’m happy to ship fully insured globally. Some interest, but nothing firm yet. Compared to the dealers, I think this beauty is a bargain: https://watchnet.co.jp/en/all-items/25388/ https://bulangandsons.com/products/longines-oversize-calatrava-salmon-dial-1938 https://shop.hodinkee.com/products/1950s-longines-calatrava?variant=16468455556
