Hi all,
as I'm raising funds in view of another purchase, I'm listing some watches I wear less than others.
One of those is this Excelsior Park chronograph from late 40s.

I have owned this watch for many years now, it was fully overhauled by my trusty watchmaker in february 2020 and then very sparingly worn. Movement is the famous manual winding EP 4 and please note that this has an original Excelsior Park signed dial, which is seldom seen, because the EP movements are usually found in Gallet, Zenith and Girard-Perregaux watches. Other brands like Sinn and Certina are also known to use the EP movements back in the day. Excelsior Park branded watches don't come up for sale often.

This specimen is imho in very good shape for its age and original apart from a couple of details I want to mention before all and right away:

-chronograph bridge is marked Zenith; since Zenith and EP were known to work together it is possible that the piece is original to the watch, but also it may have been replaced later;

-based on my knowledge, crown could be also a later replacement, but this one is anyway consistent in shape and size.

As for the rest, stainless steel case is 35.5mm unsigned crown excluded with a nice wrist presence due to the long 18.5mm lugs. Edges are really sharp for their age and I'd call this as unpolished or very professionally polished in the past.
Square pushers are original and in good shape, as well as the stick blued hands which retain their original lume.

Two tone dial is original with an even, creamy patina. All arabic indexes still retain their original lume but the six, which lost half of it.

Inhouse manual winding EP4 works strong after the service, it winds smoothly and chrono functions work also properly with the characteristic sweet and precise start and reset. Please note that the provided pic of the movement was taken before the service.

Watch comes on an nice and almost unworn gray leather italian strap.

I tried to provide pics in all light conditions, indoor and outdoor. If you need more of them, or any other info, just ask.

Watch and me are located in Rome, Italy. I'm asking 1500 euros OBRO shipped with tracking code and ensured with Secursus everywhere within EU. Overseas transactions are welcome with shipping costs and modality to be decided with buyer.
Bank wire strongly preferred, a face to face in Rome is possible.

I have some good feedbacks so far on OF at the following links, but plenty of references from other international fora and ebay to provide if needed:

Before pics, thanks a lot OF as usual for the opportunity and thanks you all for looking.
