·SOLD: Vintage Gallet Multichron 12 w/ Excelsior Park EP40 Movement in Stainless Steel 37.5mm
Well I finally turned 200 recently, so let’s sell a watch.
I have for sale today my Gallet Multichron 12 in Stainless Steel.I am sad to let this one go, but incomings have been pouring in so this one is up. This vintage piece from the late 60s to early 70s is wrapped in a 37.5mm case with 20mm lug width, that appears to me to be unpolished with facets that are nice and sharp. This watch really works for those who want that modern size in a vintage piece. The dial has a warm patina that is not typically seen on this model, which really sets it apart. The numbered markers have puffy lume that complement the dial hue. The syringe hands have lume that some have described as “funky”, with its flourescent green, typical of this reference.
The star of the show, as you might expect, is the buttery smooth Excelsior Park 40 movement. As if the smooth action weren’t enough, the gentle spring-like recoil when completing your wind will bring a smile — it’s that good. The watch has kept good time while under my ownership, but there is no service history. All functions appear to operate properly, with the chrono hands all resetting to zero.
The watch is in gently used vintage condition worn in rotation as part of my collection. I am looking for (reduced to) $2500 wired and shipped in the CONUS. No international shipping or trades at this time. I am a collector and not a dealer, nor am I affiliated with Gallet in anyway. Therefore the watch is sold as-is. You can reach me here via PM or email ajn3323 at yahoo dot com. Pictures such as they are follow and should be considered as part of the description. Thanks for looking.
As this is my first sale, I do not have feedback as seller, but below are a couple reviews on me as buyer. Also have feedback on other forums and eBay.
