·This 1950s Mido has some of the coolest hour markers I’ve ever seen! Also LOVE the full Switzerland marking on the dial - just a mid century modern beauty!
I think there are a lot of Mido lovers on here, for good reason, so much value in their watches. The issue for me has been that they’re usually very small, 30-32MM. This is a rare jumbo for them, 35MM, wears very well! (My 6.5 wrist)
This one is all original, and really beautifully preserved. Some wear by the 3 o’clock marker, as you can see in the macro shots, more noticeable depending on the light and angle, and small scratches here or there on the case as you would expect from a watch this old, but pretty incredible condition all in all.
From the research I’ve done, although the records for Mido are not complete, I believe this dates to 1955.
The 917P automatic movement is amazing! As you can see from the movement pictures, it’s really clean and has been well taken care of. Although I don’t have any service history on this, it was regulated and it’s been keeping amazing time while I’ve it worn it, within about six seconds a day or so. When hand wound, it does feel stiff, so as always when no service history is known, a fresh service is recommended for regular use.
Comes on a great eco strap, only worn a few times.
Priced at $475, *NOW $399, which will include fully insured shipping anywhere in the US.
Payment via PayPal Friends and Family, Venmo, Zelle, Wise, or CashApp.
No returns unless misrepresented, and it won’t be! I am a fellow watch collector first and foremost, and I treat buyers the way I want to be treated when I’m the buyer! I have lots of feedback to show that.
Thanks for looking, and as always, thanks to OF for the space!
