This omega seamaster automatic came up and i really like it.
after some research i can't really find any examples of ref. 2846- 2849 (the seller claims it's that reference) where seamaster is written before automatic.
every single watch i have found is always automatic written before seamaster.

might this just be my lack of searching skills or is this just a poor redial?

It should be a 2846/2848 from the mid fifties. Looks legit to me too, but it has a wrong crown.

The script and printing look okay to me, the minute and second marks look good, the patina looks in line for a watch of this vintage, and the lume points look original. It looks legit to me.

A few of the indices are not centered on the markers--is this typical of these?

You are likely seeing distortion as a result of the crystal.

hi again.
i have found another omega. but have some concerns which i hope you can help me with.
the lines behind the indices is not aligned in the center is that normal?
furthermore the the OMEGA test looks a bit odd but that might just be me.
the edges look quite nice and the crown looks genuine.
what do you think?

It gets confusing when multiple watches are referenced in the same thread, but the watch posted just above this reply has a repainted dial IMO. Bad printing all around. Keep in mind that some people replying to this thread now will probably refer to the original watch you posted since they won't check the date of the posts.

I would pass unless it's cheap. That double gouge between 9 & 10 index on the case is something your going to see every time you look at it and it's not repairable.

Crown. Incorrect as someone mentioned. You can replace with a current model, but gold plated. Could search for a used one
