I am glad you asked that question. [/politician's standard reply]

Today's wear 😀 old photo.

Why this today? The Speedy's bracelet is drying after having its annual bath and this was in the first storage pocket I opened.

I'm after purchasing this my first omega and vintage automatic on impulse for the minimal look and red seconds hand. I like how the omega was a drawn on logo and that the patina left just enough to identify it without making it a target if I wear it out. No idea what version or year it is though. any help identifying it?

also the numbers are unusual with 2 4 8 10 12 and also the font makes me think it might have been gold leaf.

You say patina, and I say damage, but to each their own. The number you need for ID are inside the back cover.

Thanks! Will get it checked out.

Ha ya I guess it's quite bare, I'd possibly get the gold leaf redone if I can find what it looks like with it. The red seconds hand stands out with how bare it is.

just got a look at the serial number and it's from 1944. crazy. do you think the numbers with gold guilding then had radium?

Not an Omega sweep hand IMO.

Looks like chrono seconds hand count, in which case Wakmann for the (biased…) win 😉 Or at least a long-time personal fav.

Some gorgeous and little seen stuff in this thread. Thanks OP!

Cheers for the heads up. I'll have it checked out locally. The crown is also bare, I was wondering if rhah was original but there is another thread that says they started stamping them in 45 and the serial matches 44. First omega so all the comments are appreciated.
