Recommended watchmaker Coventry, England

I am looking to have my newly bought Speedmaster 3520.50 triple date serviced, and wondering if anyone may be able to recommend a reputable watchmaker within perhaps 50 miles of Coventry?
The British Horological Institute lists Christopher Poel, in Stratford on Avon, as the nearest but I have no knowledge of him and can find no reviews.
Have considered posting for service but with the state Royal Mail is in at the moment I'd prefer to take and collect myself.....the purchase was a little bit of a stretch for me so being ultra-cautious.
Any help much appreciated.

Plenty of threads on UK watchmakers if you search the forum.
I have no issues posting mine via RM Special Delivery so can’t help within your radius but if you decide to post, consider Simon Freese, STS, WatchGuy, Mitka.

Hi Dug

I'm up the road in Brum and actually work in the Jewellery Quarter so have a pretty good idea about local watch talent.

I send my stuff to Mitka, S Freese, STS and if a Richemont brand, a contact of mine who works at their service place. Note none of these are in Brum...

ps I have also some limited positive experience of O N Atelier, Watchbloke, Watchguy, Genesis. All are good and again none are in Brum!

I can vouch for Royal Mail Special Delivery. They have been very reliable in transporting watches around the UK and they are not particularly expensive. You can add on extra insurance up to £2000. Thankfully I've never needed to claim, so can't say how well/reliable/easy to claim it is, if you were to need it.

I've used Simon Freese for my Omega watches, he's good.

I've used RMSD as have the watchmakers returning the watches with no problems. However any watch with value that is not simply monetary (such as owned from new) is carried personally each way.
