Just over 2 hours left on this Geneve

https://www.ebay.com/itm/198023565794
This one went pretty reasonably... I got outbid slightly (I was the 2nd bidder) but would have loved this as a project. Sadly this thread has already resulted in my projects list getting .... sizable 😁

5 hours left on this sparkle dial in the UK

https://www.ebay.com/itm/177758676344
Woah! This one went for a TON! $566 GBP/$760 USD. I'm a little shocked with the damage. At least it went for enough that losing it doesn't feel bad.

There’s significant value in the bracelet alone. And a crystal is easily replaced, generic ones will set the new owner back less than 50$. I’m not surprised, it’s a very nice reference, especially on the bracelet.

It’s also worth mentioning nobody should be bidding on UK watches other than people in the UK unless it’s something you can’t get locally.

UK is a hot market for watches and faces 20% VAT on imports, so that premium is effectively baked into the price of watches already in the country, US and EU buyers are far better off sticking to their own region.

Interestingly the movements are different from us and UK as UK watches use the 752 movement which has 24 jewels like the 751 whereas us watches use 750 movement which only has 17 jewels. This was from when there was tarrif issues previously...will they ever end!haha

Its over now, what ebay does is when a listing ends they intercept the link and try to direct you to something similar, usually not a good deal
