So this listing is for a 1984 Speedmaster Pro Cal 861, which is nice enough, but it isn’t what it would appear. Take a closer look at the pictures in the listing and see if you can pick what year and model it actually is, and why it’s worth a bit more than an ‘84. It’s a correct watch, not a franken, it’s just woefully mislabeled.

I miss the days where the Speedmasters weren’t posted here. Left those of us looking for a good entry point to some of these late 80s tritium models with a fighting chance LOL. Appreciate all you do @dsio just missing the days where wonderful opportunities would fly under the radar.

I snared a pretty nice Mark II last month; to my knowledge, it hadn’t been posted here. It will (obviously) need a service, but I was happy to get it for a bit over $1,800:

But I agree with you; I like to do my own trolling through eBay and find those opportunities that others may have missed. @dsio is just too damn good … he doesn’t leave many stones unturned!

I don't think theres "flying under the radar" on eBay, especially with 100+ watchers. 😀
The only ones that do have lower watch counts are the international ones that don't offer shipping to Canada/USA (and they still end up going for fair value).

Really nice clean example of a 145.022 Speedmaster Pro circa ‘87 with tritium dial and the highly coveted 1450/808 bracelet, great watch balancing vintage feel and modern durability with that solid-link bracelet, and they go for very reasonable money, rarely do you see these sell no reserve like this

This really nice ‘87 Speedmaster Pro tritium dial on 1450/808 bracelet is going no reserve in 8 hours, currently at $3500

40 mins left on this, still at $3550, the bracelet alone on this one is worth a lot so I expect it’ll be a fair bit more by the end
