1 hour left on this Connie. I wish I had the budget to go for it since it's my favorite style (no-lume version) of that reference but maybe another time. Hopefully, the person who gets it wears it in good health 😀
Not bad for $600 or so, case is polished but dial and hands look nice

Quite nice entry level Omega Geneve Cal 563 automatic in gold-plate with very clean case and dial, replacement crown but that’s not a big deal, going no reserve

Gold cap Seamaster De Ville
https://www.ebay.com/itm/395219383804
Dedication for XLO employee , an old aerospace firm

New to the forum, obviously, and trying to expand my Omega knowledge. This listing in particular describes the Seamaster as a "Vintage 1960's" model, although the inscription is clearly dated 1973. I assume the gift would be for a new watch. Was it normal for a watch like this to sit in a dealer's inventory unsold for years? What are the clues dating this one to the 1960's?

(Let me know if this should be in a new thread rather than here. Thanks.)

Yes on both counts (feel free to open a separate thread, you might get more input). This one is a sixties watch. Not uncommon for a jeweler to have in stock for years before selling, especially the models with blank case backs used for inscriptions.

This one is rather nice, Constellation hidden crown 168.004 in gold-cap, these go for a lot less than pie-pans despite being a larger 35.5mm case and its simply a beautiful design, going no reserve

I’m not going to link it here but I’ve been asked by two people about a Constellation piepan black dial that was listed, it is a redial, as they almost always are. That watch is not worth buying.

This is a really nice sharp, clean Constellation 168.004 pie-pan hidden crown 35.5mm in gold-cap with nice edges, it won’t go cheap but not should it as it’s a very nice example

Bumping this Connie as it’s a particularly nice example, it won’t go cheap for gold-cap, likely under $2k but over $1,500 IMO
