This one will be extremely interesting to watch, an Omega La Magique going no reserve in 3 days… it’s already very pricey for a tiny gold quartz watch but these are incredibly cool

So this goes off in 5 hours, opening bid at $2,200 is steep, but its a 14K gold Seamaster De Ville Cal 550 with original strap buckle and box in NOS condition, and I actually do believe the guy on this being a new watch. The dial is a special textured parchment dial too, very cool. $2,200 would be a record for a 14k gold Seamaster De Ville, but the rarity of this conditon IMO makes it reasonable given that really nice examples are already going for $1600-2000

Seller has Buy-it-Now of $3,600 on the listing and I think it highly doubtful that they would sell for opening bid of $2,200. Pretty special time capsule piece, but really only for a special collector.

@MSNWatch, you out there?

Relisted now https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/404603341060

I think if it passes in a couple of times with no bids at $2200 the owner will probably get the message that while its extremely cool and quite impressive, it’s not a 321 Speedmaster in that condition but rather a US market Seamaster De Ville. At $2,200 I think its a solid deal though given two recent 14K special dials went for $1,650 and $2050.

Especially when you consider that it's actually a non-runner 😲 ...to quote the seller...

“Watch is not functional, it needs servicing. May be battery replacement or others.”

Given that the seller says it needs a battery I’d say it’s more likely that they didn’t think to try winding it and haven’t removed it from the box enough to move the rotor. It shouldn’t be a hard service given the condition.

We're talking about the Omega la Magique...AFAIK that one doesn't have a rotor....😁

Oh sorry I had my wires crossed with the NOS De Ville above. Yes that one would need to go off to Bienne most likely.

18K Constellation pie-pan Cal 561 in dogleg 168.005 case going off in 2 hours, currently at $2,200. Buckle is fake as they tend to be and case is polished with some sharpness lost on lugs but still a decent watch.

This one’s up to $4250 now, pretty impressive for a non-runner, could hit $5k before the end

Omega Seamaster 600 with attractive applied arabic dial in nice condition Cal 601 going later today in the UK

https://www.ebay.com/itm/155859156002

I won this watch. It’s my third watch I’ve bought in as much months, after being lured into the world of owning and enjoying a few vintage omegas. I knew very little before I found this forum, know a little now, and that may show in my purchases. I’m not sure if this 600 was a good price or not, I don’t really care, I love the look and condition of it and was having it regardless. Having logged in today and catching up on this thread I was surprised to see the eBay listing and it gives a lot of confidence seeing the watch being highlighted for recommendation from the knowledgable

Apologies, I will start a thread introducing myself, sharing some pictures and background of my first 3 watches I chose and why, ….. soon

This is a really nice example of a metallic blue dial Cal 613 manual-wind Geneve in steel, many of these have dial damage as the metallic blue paint is inherently more fragile, but this one is in really nice condition and will likely attract a lot of interest.

18K solid gold Constellation Cal 551, crown is worn but the case is actually quite sharp and relatively unpolished for an 18k Constellation. Going no reserve also, will be interesting to watch given interest has increased of late in 18K Connies
