Someone got a great deal, or I’m out of touch with prices! And I bet that looks better in the metal.

This one’s very interesting, a Constellation Megaquartz Marine Chronometer in great condition and in good working order according to the seller. I’m curious to see what this ends at, as I haven’t seen a good running example go no reserve in ages.

Decently strong finish, nice to see interest in high end quartz
I am astonished! $2550!

Its one of the most historically important quartz Omegas ever made so it does make sense, I didn’t expect quite that high but its a nice running example and many are in need of repair.

Stainless Constellation non-luminous variant in nice shape but with terrible photos

Odd that all pictures in black and white except for movement picture. Are they hiding anything?

Yea only thing I can think of is the lighting was warm and they wanted to remove that from the steel case as sometimes photos of steel under incandescent lights can look gold but that’s the only reason I can really think of. The resolution is terrible too but the text description is very flowery and claims it to be very nice.

The photos are also very small. I'm unable to enlarge them with my browser and they are so poor to begin with that enlarging them would probably make it even more difficult to see any detail. Any idea on the reference? 167.005?

From the listing. Seems to be correct otherwise.

This is the same reference for comparison.

The ebay watch case has a bit of wear. It's telling that there aren't better side views or full on lug shots. But it's cheap for the moment.
