Less than 3 days left on this beautiful 14K gold filled LL 6287 with a clamshell dial and original BOR gold filled bracelet in really good condition. The fact it has been erroneously labelled as a gold watch may drive the price too high unfortunately.

That one is very nice indeed, much cleaner than the other identical dial that sold recently.

The seller added a picture saying the watch is gold-filled. It's getting interesting.

Just over a day left for this arrowhead 2852 that'll need some work, currently sitting at 500$:

It's far from perfect, most of all there's some spotting on the dial. The case looks good though and a non-luminous arrowhead dial is always great. It'll need a service and I believe this should clean up nicely, actually. Don't overbid, the damage on the dial won't be fixable, but with arrowhead prices being a little crazy lately this might end up a little bargain. And if worst comes to worst - there are no movement pics, after all - a spare cal. 505 pops up on ebay every once in a while.

About $1200 in the end. It could turn out well after a good clean and crystal polish imo. The price is good I think, they seem to go for a lot more these days. What do you guys think?

Its certainly a very nice condition piece for gold-filled, someone really took care of it

On the photo with the bracelet it can be seen that the golden layer on the "Omega"-sign has worn out and is rather thin. Imho, it looks more like gold-plated and not gold-filled.

There are no gold plated American references. This is gold filled.

3h left on this one.

Please excuse my ignorance but what’s the difference?

To my understanding, gold plated is 20 microns and gold filled is 40 microns.

Thanks! Any insight about the actual thickness of the gold layer?
I think the thickness can be whatever the maker wants it to be. It’s the production process that is different.

Decent Seamaster De Ville with one of the more attractive dials, Cal 550 automatic in gold-filled, lume loss from the hour hand and a rough crown but not hard to solve those in servicing

Vintage Geneve in nice shape Cal 1012

This had a starting bid of a couple hundred bucks when I posted it, it’s no longer worth buying at this current opening bid. Maybe the seller will come back down to earth in time as it’s a nice cheap watch but nothing in that territory.
