Nice Seamaster with parchment dial in steel on ugly steel aftermarket bracelet, quite a sharp case there

This one goes off in 4 hours, still cheap considering the condition and as it turns out the bracelet is stamped as sterling silver on the back so theres some melt value on it, though not a great deal.

Well I ended up buying this piece, I might have over paid but think its worth it for that linen dial. Will get it serviced and put it on a nice black leather strap. Thanks for all your efforts @dsio.

I don’t think that’s excessive, its one of the nicer dial textures and a good condition watch

Not a super good price, but you certainly could have done worse. I am not sure how much the bracelet weighs, but silver is $40 an ounce these days.

Well bought. I was a cover bidder and probably would have gone higher if I wasn’t at dinner when the listing ended. I think you will be happy with it given the sharpness of the case and the nice dial.

Very nice! Just fyi, there is a market for sterling Navajo style watch cuffs like that. You can find examples on ebay. They can go from 100+ to 300+ depending on provenance and the stones used. So don't be too hasty about melting it down for the silver just yet.

Show us the watch again when it arrives!

I was very close to bidding, and would have done had I not just bought something else, but would probably have missed out. It went for £545 but probably needs a service. It looks as though it has an original buckle.

Anyone get this one? Went for $650 which isn’t bad for that dial and a bracelet too

Will have an article on these out before long, they’re effectively a sideways, rounded edged Deauville, powered by the same automatic movements and quite cool watches with a fair bit of size to them.
