Seamaster De Ville in gold-filled case with case-back engraving, one of the nicer dials with sub-seconds, seller mentions in need to service but overall condition is very good and they’re open to offers

Its one of my favorite dials for sure, the De Ville line has a lot of unique options especially from Norman Morris, there was definitely a time when US cased models were often seen as less desirable but when you see the range of creative and special dials available, I think if anything those Seamasters and De Ville’s deserve a small premium if anything for being interesting and unique among a sea of sameness.

Usually, locally cased models are less desirable because the shape of their cases doesn't replicate an existing Swiss reference. It's true that American Seamaster deVilles are a bit different from Swiss ones (they have thinner lugs) but the huge variety of dials make them appealing and worthy of collecting. They also have a special history and the SMDV was designed to conquer the American youth in the first place.

Very nice condition Day-date Cal 1022 Geneve in steel on BoR bracelet

https://www.ebay.com/itm/266035616816

@dsio Thanks for you eBay monitoring diligence. I really like this one and considering jumping in. I do have a question for anyone about the bracelet. It is stamped 1069 but from what I have been able to find, 1069 is not a BOR. I am new to this stuff so I may be completely off the trail. Is this a legit bracelet or possibly a clasp change? Any help would be appreciated.

This one is quite interesting, the case isn’t perfect and has a bit of wear especially around the gold capped lugs. But the dial is both very nice and very attractive which makes it still worth it.

Ultra-thin Cal 286 Ref 131.009 in 18K gold, dial has some uniform patina but not bad, don’t overpay but going no reserve and being a non-name model it could stay low for a gold cased Omega

Vintage Seamaster with a flat-link bracelet on it, these aren’t just for Speedmasters either, @cristos71 has them on his Constellations like a chad

Well it used to be sport scoring an 'old broken bracelet' (7077's and 7912's) attached to a beat up, non-running SM or a water damaged Connie for always a couple hundred € or so.....not so much anymore, it's unfortunate but those days are long gone and I think the last time I brought one home undercover was probably 5 or 6 years ago now.

And it's true you just can't beat a Constellation on a flat link, be it in steel or gold, a marriage made in heaven IMO
