I feel like one *just* sold last week for something ridiculously within reach--maybe $800. Around there, I'd bet, tho maybe it slips being too noticed.
I think that the watch you were referring to was actually between $700 and $740.

really nice looking watch.
how much would you pay for that?
This is always the best type of question you can make in a forum. My answer would be: $800 max.

Very nice clean Seamaster Day-Date Sparkle dial with 1125 bracelet, I wouldn鈥檛 go the asking price BIN on it but as long as the reserve price isn鈥檛 stupid it could be a really nice buy for someone who wants a really clean example, and I鈥檇 rather pay a bit more for something like this than save money on a much lesser example. Ignore the rarest ever comments that鈥檚 obviously not true.

Aren't those hands incorrect? Shouldn't they have black+lume in them? I'm certainly not an expert, but I've only ever had sparkles with the usual hands.

If you check out the bottom or the dial you鈥檒l see there are no Ts, most are the tritium variant but there is also this variant with non luminous hands and dials which I actually prefer since the tritium tends to be more trouble than it鈥檚 worth at this point.

here鈥檚 another example of a 168.023 with the same hand set but there are others too

What do you mean about the trouble of Tritium?

It doesn鈥檛 glow or do anything useful, all it can do is flake off and fall out of the hands and generally make a nuisance of itself which is why if there is a tritium and non tritium dial version of the same watch I tend to go with non tritium

This one seems to have made its reserve price now so could still be had in the next day

Pie Pan with Arabic numerals, papers and box and everything - If I had the funds I'd pm the seller right away, but since my eBay account is new, my money is frozen until mid-May 馃檨

It's still a bit fishy, the crosshair/indices aren't perfect - but it still looks like a good specimen (though, whenever I bought a watch like this, papers ended up being purchased for show :/ )

I'm currently looking for an 'Ed White'... this looks like a decent watch, but I'm not comfy with the 'SP story' - I'm sure it is totally legit, but I'd prefer a 'regular' 105.003 馃榾

Looks like a very nice watch, either way.

What question did I ask?

I shared a watch (from Ebay) for 'others' to buy (if they should want to).

I guess I read an implied question in "but I'm not comfy with the 'SP story'" it seems that you are not %100 confident on the watch.
