Damn thing has 3 second hands!
Other than that, it has potential with a ring and some glass, as Mac say's.

Lol I was wondering what was going on with that picture....it's not happy hour yet!

A 1940-50s(?) Bumper Omega, from the original owner. I think ref 2421 or 2438 from the case shape. Non-original crown, but not bad dial/good hands. The seller wont open the watch, but I bet the movement movement would be fine with a service. I would be buying this if funds allowed. My last suggestion on here was a franken.. so I hope this is better.

Just stumbled onto this one if it’s if interest.

This French cased .004 18k Connie looks pretty good to me.
Needs an Omega crystal with correct retaining ring.
Up for auction in the UK

Now go to your room and just think about what you've done.

Please explain?
Bought it from a neighbor this past weekend and really know nothing about it other than I love the look. Would be curious to know more about this reference from anyone who knows about them. Posted some pics in a different forum as well. Thanks.

🙁 Sorry for trespassing. Didn’t catch the title. Just ended up here when I did a search for the same reference (Omega 2438) that I found and simply added to the thread. Apologies...

Is that ha ha - you’re kidding right?
Or ha ha! I’ve been looking for one of those original elephant leather Omega straps for years.

Haha as in "you're kidding, right?" I've been shopping for gator straps the past 2 months and haven't come across any elephant leather. Must be beyond exotic?

Unfortunately, it is all too true.

Edit.
I should point out that they are original vintage straps.

Difficult to tell
The buckle is the type found on early Connies (As were the elephant hide straps)

My bad. I misread which thread this was on. Interesting straps. Had no idea there were elephant straps!
