It still doesn't make much sense to me.

If you have access to such rare broad arrow hands, why not wait for a better case with proper crown and a proper seconds hand. That's what I would do! Bumper Polerouters are not hard to find and the same goes for the crown and seconds hand. I mean if you're going to sell a franken watch might as well have it look good.

My (unfortunate) experience with franken-ers and fakers leads me to the conclusion that their motivations and modus operandi are wholly incomprehensible to decent, honest, watch lovers... Whatever will sell to non-suspecting collectors and is easy to make for the least amount of money is probably the main driving force...

You'll still need a watch with the lume ring as well, the watch in question might have the correct hands but definitely not the ring. The first photo on that BA thread is a good example.

True!
Yet not the smartest way to go about it. I will edit the post. Thank you for correcting me.

Ran into this the other day at the Omega Forum 2016 Swiss GTG. An excellent broad arrow Polerouter without a lume ring or lume on the inner bezel with original GF bracelet.

It does exist!

Relume hands, either ring or hands has also been fitted to the watch, and wrong bracelet. Bracelet is not period correct, wrong ends size.

WoK has just sold this as well, http://watchesofknightsbridge.com/view-auction-catalogues.html
Doesnt make it correct, maybe people has just started to realize that it might increase the value of the watch by fitting a BA handset?

Absolutely right. What sense do lume hands make without luminescent markers on the dial?
