Why does Omega do that just for this particular reference?

I do not know, but I can speculate. They might just support the military, but that's optimistic. It might have been required in a government contract.

They probably only do it for X-33 as it is the only modern Omega issued to the USA military?

Perhaps someone with more information will respond.

De Ville Prestige with nice blue dial Cal 2500 on bracelet, currently at 1000 GBP in the UK which is very cheap for one of these, 7 hours left. These watches tend to be quite excellent value for a modern Omega and a nice size at 37 mm diameter and 9.5mm front to back thickness.

18K solid gold De Ville Co-Axial GMT on strap going no reserve, this will go for less than you would expect for an 18K solid gold modern Omega, really nice watch for the money.

Seamaster Pro Chrono Diver in titanium 2298.80, price at $2100 buy it now is low enough that you can factor a new bezel and full service into it and have a perfect example ready to wear. Opening bid is even lower at $1600 so bidding might be a great option too if nobody takes the BIN.
