Speedmaster Date two-tone reverse panda dial on bracelet going off later today, only $1700 so far, decent buy under $2200, very good under $2000

This went for $1729 -- for a newbie like myself, can someone explain why this didn't attract more interest?
It’s an older, non-hype watch. Speedmaster Pro models are vastly more sought after and expensive as a result of demand. The Speedmaster Date is powered by an ETA 7750 based movement, very reliable, accurate and easy to maintain but thicker overall. The 7750 based Speedmasters are the best value entry point to Speedmasters by a massive margin yet because they don’t look like a Pro there are few buyers.
This one with the gold reverse panda dial is one of the nicest, whoever got it did well, they’re cheap to service too and the two tone bracelet adds to the value.
I got it and am still amazed it was at that price. I like the dates because they are slightly smaller than SMPs. 40mm is about the max I like to wear, so 39mm is in the sweet spot. I've always been a sucker for these black and gold versions.
Nice! Yea as I mentioned in the post anything under 2k would have been very good, at $1729 that’s just a steal, the bracelet alone goes in used condition for 500+ typically as it’s in a bit of demand for two tone models
Very keen to see it after a service and clean when you get it 👍
Nice 3590.50 tritium dial Moonwatch in great shape going off in 6 hours, these are a future classic imo
